Wednesday - Febrauary 1, 2011

Today Sway had a rigorus workout schedule.  He was really mature tonight and worked hard with ME, Corey, & CV.  He hit the ball with an incredible amount of Pop tonight.  I can see that he is getting a lot stronger with all of our work with the wood bats lately.

Batting Practice

Infield Workout with Corey Slavick 6-645
Worked on Footwork, Triangle (Fielding Ball out in front), Hands drills, etc. 


Catching Workout (with CV Vargas) 8:15 - 9:00

    • Tennis Ball  Bare Hand Receiving Drill 40 Balls (With All Star Training Mitt)
      • In, Middle Away
    •  Real Balls x 50 Balls
      • In, Middle, Away Throw Down to Second x 35 Balls 
      • Focus on Footwork and Staying low
  • Blocking Routine (20 Min Routine)
    • Perfect Bloc 
    • Receive / Mix in Block 
    • Work on Block then Pop up / perfect foot work.
  • Footwork Drills and Staying Low
