Heavy Bag work
Hand Position Drills from Power Position to Contact (Focusing on Connection @ Contact)

Tee Work
  • Contact Position x 10 Balls
  • Power Position x 10 Balls
  • High Tee x 10 Balls
  • Target Hitting x 40 Balls (Second Tee 30' in front with Ball on it raised about 3' in air.  Trying to Drive balls off the Tee)  - Provides a very detailed level of focus to our Tee work.  Working Balls middle to Low in Zone on this today.
  • Softball Dimple Balls x 10 - Working on getting through the much heavier balls
Front Flips (15' away)
  • Away x 25 Balls
  • Middle (driving them away) x 10
  • Middle (driving them middle) x 10
  • Middle (Pull) x 10
  • In x 10
  • Change ups (flip with arch) x 10
  • Hit them where they are pitched x 25
Batting Practice
20 @ Bats (Live Counts)
5 @ Bats (2 strike hitting)
5 @ Bats mixing in Change ups
5 @ Bats (SITTING FASTBALL) - if he gets a changeup he is taking.  This is something new I am going to start working on him and teaching him how to SIT certain pitches.  It is advanced for an 8 year old, but we have to start somewhere.

  3. Blocking - Rolling
    1. Left

  4. Perfect Block Drill
  5. Side to Side Blocking Drill
  6. Went outside and worked on Quick Transfer Drill
    1. Catch, Turn, Secure the Ball, Power Seperate - With NO FOOT WORK
    2. 60 Second Drill
  7. Block no Block Drill
  8. Finish with Receiving off Machine.  45' Away 50 Balls @ 50MPH.  All Middle.
